On the Sabbath, take some time to relax and spend time in silence with God.

Precious Jesus, we hear in our reading today that you prayed for your disciples the night before you were crucified.  And we hear that you pray for us, your disciples.  When we feel alone or as if no one knows what we are going through, remind us that you are praying for us.  Remind us that you know our needs already and that we can always turn to you when we are in need.  Lord, teach us to pray as you pray.  It is in your name we pray, AMEN.

Close with the Lord’s Prayer and/or the Doxology:

Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Praise God you creatures here below.
Praise God above, you heavenly hosts.
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
