Take some time on the Sabbath to not only spend time with God, but to spend time with family and friends, enjoying the relationships you have.
Jesus, you call us to follow you and to believe the good news. But sometimes we don’t know how. This day, we pray that you would help us discern how best to follow you and that you would help us to find joy in all of the many good things in our lives – relationships, our work, delicious food, nature… These are not things to be avoided, but to be enjoyed as your good blessings. May we trust in the good news that you love us and care for us beyond our wildest imaginings. May we trust in your mercy and forgiveness and know that it is never too late to try to follow you. In Christ’s name we pray, AMEN.
Close with the Lord’s Prayer and/or the Doxology:
Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Praise God you creatures here below.
Praise God above, you heavenly hosts.
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
