We live in the 21st century. With the internet, cell phones, busy jobs, and overflowing schedules we are on the run, constantly in the hustle and bustle and connected to everyone and everything all the time.
Yet, we are also a people in search of deeper relationships and meaning, a people thirsty for God and for change in the world.
This blog is an attempt to speak to people who find themselves on the move in a hectic world but longing to spend time with God. The prayers are connected with the ELCA’s Daily Bible Reading (NRSV) and with current events, and are published daily at 2:00 pm Eastern time.
May the prayers and devotions here encourage you in your faith journey. May they serve as a jumping off point for you to add your own prayers to God. May they help you to step back, to breathe, and to rest in God, finding renewal and strength for the rest of the day. May each of us deepen our prayer life and grow in our faith and trust in God.
Peace,
Annabelle
